Monday's Style File: Mandy Moore

I decided to create a weekly link-up for everyone that is constantly bookmarking pictures of celebrities that serve as style inspiration for future outfits. I know I for one have huge files on my computer of celebrities that I love and styles that I want to try. If you follow me on Pinterest, you have probably seen my board called "Celebrity Style File" where I pin every celebrity style that I am loving and itching to re-create!!

This week, I'm featuring Mandy Moore!

Oh, I love Mandy Moore's sense of style!  She keeps her clothes very classic, but always with a pop of color.  She certainly knows how to go from super casual days to high-fashion nights!

Here are just a few of my favorites:

Christmas Wish List

I have almost FINISHED my Christmas shopping this year!  This is HUGE for me...I am usually out with all of the men {no offense guys} on Christmas Eve hurriedly trying to finish up my shopping.  I still have some things that I need to grab, but otherwise I am almost there!  I've even ordered Tom, Elli, and my Christmas cards...for some reason I am just on the ball this year!

One thing I always, always, always have a problem with is making my Christmas list for my family to give me.  Don't get me wrong, I spend all year saying "oh, that would make a great Christmas gift for me," but when it comes down to actually making the list...I go completely blank!

So...here are some things that I am currently crossing my fingers for:

{one}

iPad 2

Okay, this is something that I foresee myself wanting for quite some time.  But, I would certainly welcome this under the tree this year!  My poor MacBook has seen better days, especially with the "W" button hanging on my a thread {or I guess technically a piece of plastic}, so I am constantly in a debate with myself over whether I want a new MacBook {Pro} or an iPad 2.  As of now, the iPad is winning...who knows where I will stand when it actually comes time to buy one!

Gilded Houndstooth Tom's

Now, I know that I am getting these from my mom's parents for Christmas, but I just love them so much that I had to include them on my list!  These are so festive and COMFORTABLE!! I even have a pair of skinny jeans now to wear with them!!

{three}

A New Watch

I have a tortoise shell watch that Tom gave me for my birthday this year that I love, but I would love a new "everyday" watch that is not quite as large-faced.  I definitely want something silver, with either a red or black band.  Something very classic!  I love this one by Pandora!

{four}

Pearl Studs

I currently have a pair of very, very fake pearl earrings that are "dull" in color because I wear them so much that they look even more fake than the day I bought them at Stein Mart for $4.00.  I really want a pair of nice pearl earrings that I can wear everyday!

{five}

Tory Burch Reva Flats

Do I even need to say why I want these shoes?? They have been on my Christmas list for at least four years and I'm hoping this is the year!!  Plus, I wear flats everyday to work, so they are practical!!

{six}

Clothes for Work

I have a closet full of well-worn tops, sweaters, and dresses and would welcome some new additions! Especially some skirts and dresses to wear with tights and boots come colder weather!!

Burberry London Perfume

This is my favorite perfume and I have been out of it since last year! I really hope I can get a new bottle for Christmas!!

{eight}
Cashmere Wrap/Scarf

I'm missing half of my scarves from our move.  I have no clue where they got to...I know they are somewhere, but I just don't know where!  I would love a cozy scarf for the cold weather!

{nine}

Personalized Note Cards/Note Pads

I love anything monogrammed!  I am out of my monogrammed greeting cards, so I would love a new set for Christmas!

{ten}

Gift Cards

I love gift cards...I usually ONLY shop sales, so I hate asking for anything full-price that I know will go on sale for cheap!  Gift cards are the perfect solution!!  I would love gift cards to J. Crew, Target, Dress Barn, Ann Taylor Loft...pretty much anywhere!!

I would also love {hint, hint, TOM} a gift certificate to get a massage/pedicure!!

What's on your Christmas list?

Black Friday & Fall Family Pictures, take 2!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I know we did!  We ate lunch/dinner about 3:00 pm and rested for a few hours and then I baked an apple pie!  It turned out a little messy, but very good.  We spent the evening snacking on the apple pie and watching Christmas Vacation.  About 11:15, we headed out to Target for their midnight opening {Midnight Madness, as far as I'm concerned}.  The line was wrapped around the building, y'all, like all the way to the loading docks.  And then, the lights went out back there.  I was terrified that we were going to be pick-pocketed.  Yes, I am worst-case-scenario woman.

Fortunately, we weren't at Target for the mega-deals on televisions or game consoles--I had one thing in mind that I wanted and it was TV shows on DVD.  If you have been following my blog for any period of time you know that I love me some TV on DVD.  I fall asleep to a show every night {lately it has been The Closer}.  Last night I got seasons 1-4 of Mad Men {for $7.99 a season/usually between $19.99 and $49.99 a season}, seasons 1-2 of Modern Family {for $12.99 a season/usually $39.99 a season}, and the newest season of How I Met Your Mother {for $12.99 a season/usually $39.99 a season}.  We also grabbed a dock for Trevor's iPod for his Christmas {$29.99, usually $49.99} We saved $181!!  But now, I have to "forget" that Tom got me Mad Men and Modern Family and he has to forget I got him How I Met Your Mother before Christmas!!

I had the hardest time sleeping last night {I think from all the adrenaline of trying to rush around people at Target} that I actually ended up having a conversation with my cousin Lilli via text at 3 AM!  She also braved the lines of Target down in Waco, Texas, but she went for the Kindle...you are a brave woman, Lilli! But, hey, you are a Strickland girl, which means you can SHOP!! :-) {It's in our DNA, I swear!}

Unfortunately, I did have to be at work at 7:00 AM this morning!  Let's just say I've been functioning on coffee today!!

Did anyone else go black Friday shopping today?  What good deals did you score?

Before we had Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, Tom, Trevor, Elli, and I walked next door to the open field to take a few pictures {hopefully for a Christmas card!}.

Here are a few of the out takes...

And some winners...

Maybe a couple good ones for a Christmas card??

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and survived Black Friday madness!!
